Forest Stewardship Plan Cost-Share

Kittson and Roseau Soil and Water Conservation Districts (SWCDs) are teaming up to deliver a Forest Stewardship Plan Cost Share Program through the Two Rivers Plus Comprehensive Watershed Management Plan.

The primary goal of this cost share program is to encourage participants to actively manage their forested lands for water quality and terrestrial habitat benefits.

Eligible applicants must have land within the boundary of the Two Rivers Plus watershed area and must meet eligibility requirements for plan writing. This program is delivered on a first come, first serve basis. In the instance of requests exceeding available funds, applications ranked based on priority areas within the Two Rivers Plus Watershed Landscape Stewardship Plan / RAQ Webmap and also the included scoresheet. 

 

Cost share will cover up to $300 + $7 per planned acre up to 640 acres, with payment not to exceed 75% of the total plan cost. (($300 + $7/ac) X 75%)
